I'm writing this review for my 73 year old mother. She lives in NE Ohio and I live in New York City. After seeing her regular audiologist my mother was told they were unable to provide her with a hearing aid. Thankfully they referred us to NationsHearing who in turn helped us contact their affiliated mobile unit run by John Goik. From the start John was quick to respond to my request to set up an appointment for my mother at her home (she's 73 and does not drive). He made it as easy and simple a process as possible. When her screening day came he arrived when he said he would and made my mom very comfortable. In addition, he immediately followed up with me to explain her prognosis and the options she had in regards to her insurance. To say I'm impressed with John's work is an understatement. I would 110% recommend him to anyone who needs his services!
06/28/2025 - UPDATE - My mother received her new hearing aids this week and is super happy/satisfied! The level of service delivered by John Goik and his company was fantastic. I had a very positive experience with the people with whom I worked. From the initial conversation with the rep to the actual diagnostic process with the technician, everyone was patient, positive and friendly. The kit they send is very easy to set up and use, so I didn't stress over the process one bit. Re-packing the box was quick and simple. All I had to do was put the box on my porch! Give them a try! You won't regret it. I didn't need hearing aids but my husband did and he is very satisfied with his experience and their product as well.

The first time I saw John regarding obtaining new hearing aids he gave me the most extensive hearing test I ever had.
He then asked about my experience with my original hearing aids and what issues I had with them. He listened intently to my answers and took everything I said into consideration when prescribing the new hearing aids. My quality of life has improved immensely with the new hearing aids. John was VERY patient and professional with me, my whole experience with him was amazing. John, the audiologist and owner of Mobile Hearing Aids, is outstanding at what he does. He came to my home with all his equipment several days after I contacted him and checked my ears first. Then he checked my hearing with and without my current aids, which weren't working well after years of usage. He also checked the warranty and informed me they were still under warranty. We talked about the options of getting new aids vs. cleaning and repairing my current ones, and John was fine with my preference for repairing rather than replacing at this time. Several days later he returned with my clean, repaired aides and adjusted them to my preference. I could not be more satisfied and highly recommend John's Mobile Hearing Aids.
While initially optimisticly skeptical of a virtual hearing aid purchase , John totally erased thst skepticism! I was referred by another client in 2022. That visit was efficient and professional. The hearing aids he provided at that time have worked flawlessly. I just had a re-check (Nov 2024) to monitor my own ears and update the programming of the aids. I was surprised that he declined to charge for the checkup, insisting that it was just part of his basic services. Mr Goik is knowledgeable, professional and provides excellent service.
Excellent experience with John. He went above and beyond by going out of his way to a nursing to fit my elderly uncle with hearding aids. I have worn hearing aids for about ten years, I have a severe hearing loss in both ears.

My neighbor's grandfather was using Mobile Hearing Aids and was very pleased with John's service. The neighbors grandson put me in touch with John as I was having problems with one of my hearing aids. Even though I have not met John in person, he offered to help me and so I sent the hearing aid to John for review. He quickly repaired and returned the unit. I highly recommend John and will definitely use his company in the future.
My mom is on 24/7 care, due to the fact that she is non-ambulatory. When one of her caregivers washed my mother's hearing aid in the washing machine, I was at a loss. To take mom out to get her hearing tested, etc. etc., it takes a day off work and 2 people to do it.
So thinking maybe there was someone who could come to her, I googled Mobile Hearing Aids & John's company popped up.
I left a message via his website, and he responded right away. What I didn't realize is that he was in Ohio, while we are in California. John, however, jumped into action and researched someone who might be a mobile company in my area. Looking out for our best interest, John didn't like that person, so he said he himself could help me all the way from Ohio. I sent him mom's old aid, and from that John was able to determine that the aid would need a costly repair, however he was able to download the programming of her old aid. Long story short, John ended up getting my mom not one but 2 hearing aids, all with her insurance. One is a rechargeable, and the second back-up one is a battery one.
All I can say is this, with John's expertise at Mobile Hearing Aids, you are getting a company who genuinely cares about his clients, and goes the extra mile to make sure you have what you need. I highly recommend!!!!
